The Conker Group officially formed in 2015 as a company dedicated to making new work that responds to the world around us in subject and form. We use a playful approach to ask questions about contemporary socio-political issues.
The Conker Group's work has been shared at: York Theatre Royal, Lighthouse Poole, Square Chapel Arts, Lawrence Batley Theatre, Rosehill Theatre, HOME Manchester, Chapter Arts, Theatr Clwyd, Pontio, Aberystwyth Ars, The Yard, Camden People's Theatre, Arcola, The Tramshed (Woolwich), The Basement (Brighton), Battersea Arts Centre and internationally in India, Denmark & The Hague.
The group is artistically led by Tara Robinson, but no project would begin without a collaboration at the heart of it, without the formation of a group.

We think that our work has to be in dialogue with this, and we're fascinated by the ways in which form can interrogate/inform content. We make work that is aware of its own liveness.
We also think broadly about how our projects can reach beyond a regular theatre-going community. We are always searching and testing out new models of engagement, weaving these into the heart of our making processes where possible.
We're committed to
